the Bretton Woods Conference of July 1944 created the twin evils of world finance, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank of Reconstruction and Development. The chief architect was Harry Dexter White, then Ass't Secretary of the US Treasury, and later was discovered to have been a leading member of a Communist spy ring planted in the US Treasury. The IMF is a Communist-contrived device for strangling its members financially, economically and politically by tying their currencies to gold, which they do not possess and dollars which they cannot obtain, the Fund has been completely effective. Elizabeth Bentley, later the principal witness against White and go-between contact with the Soviet Embassy, revealed how White boasted that he had received the date of the conference nine days prior to the official announcement. She later revealed in her own book Out of Bondage, page 198; "Around this time White also brought me samples of the Marks the United States was preparing for use in the German occupation. The Russians were delighted as they were planning to counterfeit them. However, due to a complicated ink process this proved impossible - until I was able to arrange through White that the US Treasury Dept turn the actual printing plates over to the Russians!"
